Comfort
Riding a bike doesn’t have to be and shouldn’t be uncomfortable. A proper fit can mean the difference between comfort and discomfort. During your fit we’ll optimize your position and adjust any contact points (Saddle, Bars, Pedals/shoes) to ensure that you’re as comfortable as possible
Performance
The right position on your bike allows you to put power down smoother, more efficiently and for longer. Your position will be optimized so that the right muscle groups are engaged when they should be.
Aerodynamics
Nearly all of the resistance we face as cyclists comes from the wind. An aerodynamic position matters for all cyclists not just time trialists or triathletes. The less energy you need to hold a certain speed the more you’ll have to use when it really matters.
Our Process
Factor utilizes a precision technology-based approach to bike fit using the F.I.S.T. fit protocol (the same protocol underlying RETUL) as a foundation. We use a dynamic fit process that involves making individual adjustments to your riding position as you pedal. This process allows the rider to feel adjustments in real time. No getting off your bike to make a change only to get back on with no way to feel the difference. These fit changes are guided by the fitter, rider feedback and real time dual sided motion capture. This process allows a rider to self-select their own optimal position. At Factor we then take this position and either aid in picking a bike to fit your needs or calculate the necessary adjustments to make your current bike match YOUR unique position.
